1. Adam
Your red, your feet, your shoulders; this is how you carried the world. I used to wish I could curl into your ribs like a seed and wait to be something beautiful as you.
2. Christian
Four years ago, you wrote me a song. It was full of bad chords and brass and bass and blaspheme. You gave me the shirt off your back, just so I could dry the bench beneath the oak tree. Untamed, you are better than you think you are.
3. David
He who hurled the first stones of all the first kisses you could never give me. He who struck down the mighty Goliath, the blind beast, blundering around in my chest. He who came too late as Babylon was falling.
4. Felix
Your unlaced shoes and unwound scarf and warm warm hands. I will comb your hair and button your coat and forever spell your name s-m-i-l-e.
5. Nathan
I wanted your sea glass eyes and your bike on the rain-wet pavement. I wanted to press my palms to your holy temples and learn how to pray. You took my ink stains and my weak weak pride faithfully. I never knew how to love a prophet.
6. Jon
You have written history. You live and love and protect like fire. You have more dreams than stars in the sky. You are not a martyr, but Boy, you will live forever.
7. Paul
You told me one time that my smile made the sun come out, and I decided to believe you.
8. Gabriel
You are not angel, but boy. You still believe in redemption and have faith in second, third, fourth chances. Water-winged watcher, thank you for that week of joy.
9. Solomon
Protector and fighter, you share with me your bread, your sweet. You will be a wondrous king.
10. Philip
You open the earth. The swans fall from the sky, and the ghosts of lost girls come up to hold my hand when I am with you. I see my flight, my fall, the boundaries of the universe in your eyes.
11. Joshua
I would follow you to the end of it all, to the last of the crumbling city. I will wait for you with fingers woven together like a rosary.
12. Peter
You are my savior, each and every day, now and forever. You are my rock, my anchor, my bravest beacon. You are my home.
13. Daniel
Babylon boy, I whisper your name like a prayer.

Nocte
Hiding from the beast,
From tree to tree,
Running in the dark,
I tell myself such things,
Slow- so it won't find you,
Breath.
These fires have scorched far and wide,
Leaving the scent of my former cinders to linger in my head,
Like some bad bender,
Warped memories encircling grey,
The ground is made of shattered glass,
Broken dreams.
No lilies remain,
To any kingdom I run,
In mirrors of liquid glass,
Surrealist battles are won,
And like fear,
The spider crawled from my mouth.
They are sedating everything,
Brush pixilated,
Focus changing,
Leaving me to run in the dark,
Caught in the eye of the storm,
Hiding in the calm.

"Story"
Can you tell me the story?
I know it doesn't have a beginning
and you never mentioned an end
but I can't really believe
that there
ever was a playful middle
when the other two ends of that
long and heavy rope
could have been pulled taut.
I mean, really
the smell of foreign food
wafts through the window every night
how can you expect me to sleep
when there is that exotic tang
right in front of
my nose
just far enough where you pull me by a string
and I can step into a world where
everything is not the same.
Second person stories are not the same
you've got to be there
to feel there
to live there
to know there
you've got to smell t

Shamditions
is there anything worse
than insomnia?
maybe this voodoo doll
who just won't stop staring at me
or maybe it's the frustration
with myself and my inability
to go back to sleep
to write how I want
you do not rule me or my art
take your traditions and walk away
or I swear on my art
which is my life
I will rip your traditions to shreds

Bible Boys
Religious Experiences
Indigo doing research for something? What?
But seriously guys, I don't have a religious education, and therefore had to resort to Wikipedia for all of the biblical references.
This was inspired from me thinking about all the people I know with biblical names, specifically the males who have been/are in my life. I will probably add on to it later. All thirteen of these names have actual people I have known/know. These are their stories.
J'AI DES QUESTIONS POUR VOUS.
Are the biblical references correct? Like I said, I have zero religious training, and had to go tromping over to Wikipedia.
Any repeating themes/motifs that don't work?
Do you feel like you know these people (not the biblical characters, the people I know in real life) better after reading this?
Just by personal preference, which section(s) were your favorites/least favorites and why?
Since it's numbered and sectioned off into separate parts, do you feel disconnected at all?
Someone suggested that I make this more about me (the narrator), but I feel the point of this to show who all the characters are, not who I am. Although, it'll show who I am by proxy, so... Thoughts?
Feel free to share with me your own knowledge/things that could make this more interesting/better.
Critique is here.
